cp's OEIS Frontend

This is a front-end for the Online Encyclopedia of Integer Sequences, made by Christian Perfect. The idea is to provide OEIS entries in non-ancient HTML, and then to think about how they're presented visually. The source code is on GitHub.

A051016 Numbers n for which r^n-floor(r^n) < 1/2, where r is the real root of x^3-x-1.

For large powers, r^n is very close to an integer.

Crossrefs

Cf. A051017, A060006 (r = 1.32471...).

Programs

  • Mathematica
    Flatten[ With[ {r = Root[ -1 - #1 + #1^3 &, 1 ]}, Position[ Table[ r^n - Floor[ r^n ], {n, 1, 200} ], _?(#1 < 1/2 & ), 1 ] ] ]
