cp's OEIS Frontend

This is a front-end for the Online Encyclopedia of Integer Sequences, made by Christian Perfect. The idea is to provide OEIS entries in non-ancient HTML, and then to think about how they're presented visually. The source code is on GitHub.

A279101 a(n) = Sum_{k=0..n} ceiling((1 + sqrt(2))^k).

Formula

G.f.: (1 + x - 2*x^2 - x^3 - x^4)/((1 - x)^2*(1 - x - 3*x^2 - x^3)).
a(n) = 3*a(n-1) - 4*a(n-3) + a(n-4) + a(n-5).
a(n) = (4*(1 + sqrt(2))^n + 2*sqrt(2)*(1 + sqrt(2))^n - 2*(-2 + sqrt(2))*(1 - sqrt(2))^n + 2*n - (-1)^n - 3)/4.
a(n) ~ s^(n+1)/(s-1), where s is the silver ratio (A014176).
